Docu mainstream media: Cannabis cure for cancer

The U.S. broadcaster PBS aired a documentary about the cancer-killing properties of cannabis. The documentary received little media attention. Although some find it far-fetched that cannabis can cure cancer, in this documentary different doctors show that cannabis can be used to treat many diseases successfully.

Dr. Prakash Nagarkatti is professor of pathology and microbiology at the University of South Carolina and tested synthetic cannabis on cancer cells. He developed a formula that make cancer cells harmless.

In mice it was showed that 30 percent of the disease completely divested while the rest of the tumors became significantly smaller. The drug is now being tested in leukemia patients. Not only Dr. Nagarkatti see the medical benefits of cannabis, several pharmaceutical companies have filed patents for medicines based on cannabis.
