Economist Jeffrey Miron of Harvard University calculated that the legalization of cannabis (cannabis seeds) will gain the U.S. government about 5.7 billion per year. More than 300 economists, including three Nobel laureates, have already signed a petition that endorses the conclusions of Miron. In addition, the government would save an additional 4.5 billion if the tax on alcohol and tobacco would also be applies to cannabis. It involves a total of 10.2 billion euros, but that amount is only a fraction of the total U.S. debt (last year the debt reached a height of 1.1 trillion).

Debate
Although economists are not directly calling for legalization of cannabis (marijuana seeds), they hope for an open and honest debate about the benefits of legalization. Policymakers in a U.S. state used the economic argument rather vain. Democrat Tom Ammiano proposed in 2009 a law for the legalisation of cannabis seeds in California. According to him, the government would have gain billions of dollars. The population voted against the bill in 2010.

Furthermore, hemp seeds contains vitamins, phytosterols and minerals. Hemp oil distinguishes itself from other seed oils, because of its composition, especially the present of fatty acids and proteins that contain all the essential amino acids in the right proportions.

Ideal ratio
Metabolites of omega-6-fatty acids are significantly stimulating infection than that of omega-3-fatty acids. This means that omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids should be consumed in a balanced relationship. Researchers assume that the ideal ratio is around 4:1. Normal seed oil and animal fats contain relatively little omega-3 fatty acids and hence knows our diet is often a ratio of 10:1 or more.

Recent research shows that this imbalance is an important factor in the pathogenesis of many diseases, including heart disease, arthritis, diabetes and skin problems. Various studies show that the correct ratio of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids in our diet reduces risk of atherosclerosis, heart attacks and various cancers. In addition, a proper ratio for a reduction of symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, mood improvement and better development of children.

Concentration
In clinical studies, these results are usually achieved by omega-3 supplements. It is better to switch to oils and nuts with a better ratio of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids. Cannabis Seeds and hemp oil has a ratio of 3:1 or less . Besides this optimum ratio there is also a lack of omega-3 in our diet compensated. No other vegetable oil has a high concentration of essential fatty acids.

Hemp oil also provides significant amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids, particularly gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and stearidonic acid (SDA). These are not so much essential fatty acids, but our body can only produce these fatty acids from alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and linoleic acid (LA). GLA and SDA supplements seem to relieve the symptoms of eczema and other skin disorders.

Peroxides
Hemp oil contains less than 10% saturated fatty acids, and no trans-fatty acids. These determine the cholesterol in our blood. Hemp oil is not suitable for baking or frying. Then the polyunsaturated fatty acids is in fact converted into unhealthy peroxides. Hemp oil is best used in cold and hot dishes, where the boiling point is not reached. Weed seeds can be lightly toasted and used in bread.

Protein from Cannabis seeds is also of high quality because of the composition of the amino acids and the protein structure. It contains all the essential amino acids and consists of two globular proteins: albumin (33%) and edestin (67%). The structure is similar to that of proteins that are produced in our blood and they can be easily absorbed. Protein from hemp seed is free from substances that suppress absorption of proteins impede or block such as soy.
